Day 1
Kathy Laughlin, a top local Casting Director and Acting Coach, will discuss the basics of finding an agent, getting auditions, how to prepare, what Directors and Producers are looking for, and what you need to have to get started.
Followed by Q & A
Jonathan Chambers, an established Assistant Director and Producer, will discuss the business itself; scams, what to expect once you land a job, what is expected of you, what you can expect to make, and the reality of being in the business. It can be a lot of fun but it’s not all glitz and glamour.

Break for Lunch
Michael McCourt will discuss what a director looks for in a casting session, how to follow direction, acting vs. overacting, staying in character, set etiquette and the aspects of various working conditions.
Followed by Q & A
Actress Kendall Ganey, an up and coming child star from right here in Sarasota, will talk about how she got into the business, mistakes she made along the way, and what you need to do to be successful.

Day 2
Lisa London, listed in the Ross Reports as one of Hollywood’s Top 20 Casting Directors, has cast such shows as Hanna Montana and The Sweet Life of Zack & Cody. Lisa will discuss auditioning techniques, working in L.A., and working in Film & TV.
Followed by Q & A
Photography - Susan Jeffers, a leading commercial photographer in the Tampa area, will be offering professional headshots at a drastically reduced rate for workshop attendees only. Your child be photographed and will receive their headshot on a CD that you can keep and have prints done anywhere you choose. Visit Susan’s website gallery to see her amazing work.

You will then have the rare opportunity to experience a mock commercial audition and critique by Lisa herself (1st 75 attendees only).
There will also be an acting lecture and open audition session and critique by Kathy Laughlin, one of our top local Casting Directors and Acting Coaches, for anyone who wants to participate.
Information Kiosk - There will be an area set up to gather information on local talent agents in the Tampa/Orlando area.
Q&A - We will have a general Q & A at the end of the day for any unanswered questions.
